This country needs more boats.
Boats for rescue operations.
It’s amazing how all these different groups from the private sector have come together and organized rescue and relief operations. But, we’re not really doing much better than in 2009 because we lack the resources to properly carry out these operations.
This isn’t even a storm. Just a major deluge and two days of non-stop rain. Do we even have a name for the flood/pseudo-storm yet?
Rescue ops resume in the morning. Meanwhile, children, pregnant women, and senior citizens have to spend another night on their rooftops waiting for help to come.
No real sleep tonight.
